John, We did not go wrong in bringing up our kids, society looks to make things better with new and modern conveniences which have greatly helped all of us. The worst part has been the entertainment kids watch. Now kids do not have to entertain themselves, instead they want to be entertained and therefore do not think for themselves. Violence in the movies, video games or whatever and these young people do not know how to differentiate right from wrong. If they see it in the movies they think it must be okay. Not all, only those who do not have parents who know how to set values or teach integrity. Some students I have had in the past and even this year are real hard workers and will do very well in the real world even if they do not get high grades. One of my students who graduated 8 years ago stopped by yesterday and is now a journeyman in high voltage electric work. He is helping install the high voltage line for Amtrak between Boston and New York. Last year in a six month period he earned 50,000 with overtime. This shows me those who work hard will succeed and with out a college education.

Later, Carll
