You bring up a good point about the rewards of the right job and looking forward to retirement. But I was more interested in your comment about remembering the great kids and trying to forget the losers.
Looking back I’d like to believe our teachers felt most of us were winners. We came from a different generation with fewer broken homes, no drug problems (except cigarettes), and respect for our elders. I still find it difficult relating to the way young people live today and their sense of right and wrong.
Where did we go wrong... after all we raised the parents of those kids.
